It's the Little Things in Life...

Beach time with the babes.

The sound of my nieces voices makes my heart sing!  I adore them more than anything in this world.  There are no bad days when these little babes are near by.  BigSis will often call me when the girls are having a giggle fit and I will just listen to them laughing.  It makes my week.  While on the phone recently with BigSis, she was updating me on what the little ones are up to as of late.  The littlest one is talking a lot more and her bossy nature is really developing.  I simply can't get enough snuggle time with her.  My eldest niece will be hitting a big milestone in the coming weeks, the first day of school. 

Lazy Girl: “BigSis you are going to ball your eyes out.  Oh my goodness, I’m going to start crying.”

BigSis: “No I won’t.  She’s ready to go.  It’s a happy occasion.  I don’t cry at happy occasions.”

I cry at everything.  During movies my family will often look over to me just to see if I’m crying again during The Lion King.  This first day of school for my little niece may be a happy occasion but my little one is now growing up, so for me I’m a little sad at the fact that she is getting so big.  I held her in my arms within the first 24 hours of her coming into this world.  She’s fallen asleep in my arms on so many occasions.  I don’t have enough digits to count them on.  This is my little niece that recently said to me, “Aunt Dorphy I want to be with you forever and ever.  I want to be with you until I don’t want to be with you anymore.”  I almost made her promise.  I have a huge attachment to these little girls.  

So what brings you joy in this world?  The sound of my nieces laughing and playing makes me light as a feather.  Every moment I get to spend with them I treasure.  If you don’t have something in your life that truly brings you joy, then please, please, please find what may bring you joy.  It makes life so beautiful.
